With enough interest I will travel anywhere in the country for a dyno-tune day or weekend.
This is how it works. A local organizer is needed to help set everything up. He or she will be compensated by VMP. The organizer is in charge of finding a suitable dyno to rent for the day, Dynojet's are prefered, with accurate A/F equipment. Usually a shop can be found that will let us use their Dynojet for $75-$100 per hour, this cost is directly passed to the customer. The organizer will help arrange everything and make sure everything goes smoothly. If the event is close enough to FL I will bring VMP's Mobile Dynojet.
For a 1-day event 5-7 vehicles are needed. For a 2-day event 10-15 vehicles are needed. This generally comes out to $300-$400 per car.
If you have a single vehicle or small group of vehicles the daily flat rate is $1000/day + expenses.
All vehicles must be mechanically sound, even a good tune won't fix bad or broken hardware. This means things like fresh spark plugs (know your gap or check all plugs before coming to the tune), a clean mass air sensor, and no questionable wiring. Nitrous guys will need some way to keep their bottle warm. We won't tune cars with FMUs or pegging mass air meters. Each customer must submit a list of modifications to us for review, so we can make sure the combination will work.
