Ok to introduce myself I am Derek Fricke, I live in Aiken,SC. I have a 2000 V6 auto mustang. It has too many mods to list. We will just say it is a 4.3 stroker fully built....and I mean fully.
The problem I am having is with the sct software. I installed all of the software on my desktop and my laptop: Liveload LF3, XC2Liveupdate2, XC2livelink and Extreme Tune. I connect the Xc2 to the laptop/desktop and open xtremetune, click the three dots to find the .xtr file and there is none. I have 3 files on my xc2 for 91oct 93oct and 100oct. No files are any where. I searched the whole cpu. Is the cpu suppose to upload these when the x-cal2 is connected? I followed the advice of the forum and dl'd the 2.1.8 livelink but I have nothing.
I am trying to adjust the IAC through one of these programs, I dont know which one to use yet,...this is the next question. The Idle in park and neutral is up around 1100-1300. In drive it is fine right about 750. Throttle position sensor looked fine and the iac appeared ok. Only thing I can guess is with the new setup it is taking too much air. I think the stock Iac is set at 75% and figured I would drop it down to 50% and give it a try.
I really need some help with these programs please help. I have a N/A beast that needs to be on the road so I can run a few of you guys down:cool: . Thanks alot.

Hi, you can't move tunes from the x-cal2 to a PC, only from a PC to x-cal2. Even if you could get the tune you would not be able to adjust the IAC valve. If you have an aftermarket TB that is causing your high idle, otherwise it would be from your cam. Tuning certain parameters in the EEC can fix that problem.

I noticed that I can not tune these parameters in the extreme tune program. I got the .xtr files this morning. Is there a way that I can use Livelink to do this? I am sure it is the cam that is causing it with the massive lift. Maybe the ram air but I wouldnt think so. The throttle is still stock just has been ported and half shafted. I just need a minor fix for now until I can get down to ya for a dyno run and tune. I have the x-cal2 and the LC-1. I just need to mount the other bung into the x-pipe for a adiquate read.

Live link is a datalogging only program, no tuning.

So basically the only way to adjust the IAC percentage is through a dyno tune? Or is there a iac adjustment plate I can use for adjustment? Also, having a x-cal2 and lc-1 how much would you charge for a good tune on the engine once I get it to ya? Thanks alot for the fast responses!

Hi, well there are certain parameters that I datalog, and then certain functions that I modify when I have the car in front of me. $350-450 for a dynotune depending on your mods.
