So I'm trying to do my datalogging and when I start up the Livelink 2 software and begin choosing my parameters for the configuration I'm realizing that there are all caps versions and all lower case versions of the same parameters. Which are supposed to be selected? I figured if I upgraded to livelink 3 I would have an easier time. Well, there are some parameters that are not there to my knowledge. These being Max Allowed Spark, MBT Spark, Idle Speed Learned Correction (there are 4 of them), Time Running, Commanded TV Pressure, and Calculated Engine Torque. I must admit I like the Livelink 3 much better than the 2 because I don't have to be in my car to do the setup, but livelink 3 doesn't seem to have all of the parameters that are needed. What should I do?
Next little bit, I dont' have a serial port on my computer so I went out and bought the serial to USB converter. When I try to run the Logworks software to make sure that the anolog 1 is working properly it tells me there is no serial port and then does nothing. how do I fix this?
Finally, I have an automatic. How do I know if the tune I have for datalogging is going to lock me in a specific gear? or am I supposed to just get out on the highway and let er rip?
