Hello Justin:

I want to purchase a new carbon fiber "JLT intake" kit for my GT500 and wonder if I can mail order a tune for it from you (would it be the same as the tune you have for the 1st car with your prototype intake) or do you need to tune a car with the JLT on it and dyno it first before you can mail out tunes for this particular intake??

I need to know ASAP so I can jump on the intake as soon as I get the e-mail (if this is a go) and if not I will need to reconsider my options.

Thanks in advance, :confused:

Hey Derek, I did have a car on my dyno with the JLT intake at one point, but they have since changed designs.

If the final version has been released I'll get my hands on one and come up with a tune for it.

If you bought the x-cal2 or just tunes from me, I will provide updated tunes for CAIs at no charge. Provided that you also purcahse the CAI from me.

Thanks,

Thanks Justin, I tried to call you today to order a tune but I guess you are closed for the Holiday. I will try again Monday.

Hi Justin;
Decided I would contact you here instead of on one of the Sites. I have had your tune installed since Wednesday evening(11-22-06). I used the 93 octane tune. I really think the car has more power since it is easier to break the tires loose in 1at and 2nd. I am the one who has a dyno scheduled for next week in Dallas. I will take your advice and hopefully ask the right questions before I let them touch my car. I am reall y looking forward to your CAI kit. Do I send the Tuner back to you for reprograming after I get and install your kit? I've been reading a few of your threads here and everthing sounds really technical when you are talking about the programing for the x-cal2. If we have to try to do something over the internet in order to update my tune, unless it is extremely easy I would be more comfortable returning the x-cal to you. Thanks for any help or info. Gordon

Hi, I can email you tunes to load onto the X2 yourself, a long with instructions, or you can send it back to me. There really is no way to mess anyting up.

Justin,

I probably will be the first GT500 owner in The Netherlands. I have interest in the JLT intake with SCT and tune package.
Do you sell these in the same package as JLT does and for what price?
And how about the new Livewire flash device?
In The Netherlands we have 95 Octane as a minimum and even 98 at the pump. Is there a difference in measuring octane between the US and Europe? Or is it the same and thus are we lucky that we have gas higher octane then your 93?
Can you tune for 95 Octane?

Patrick

Hi Patrick, I do sell them as a package for $849 on my website. Email me for a shipping price, and how you would prefer to have it shipped.

I can create tunes for 95 and 98 oct. The actual octane is basically the same, it is just rated differently in europe.

The new livewire will be out in 1-4months, it will do the same things as the x-cal2 but will have a few more features such as a shift light and built in gtech.

Thanks,

Hey justin can you explain the gtech for me? Thanks!

Justin;
Can you please give me the status of your CAI. I have done your tune and am anxiously waiting to do the CAI upgrade. I am hoping to use yours since I would think it would be the best to use since you designed it for your tune. I also am hoping the price comes in like you thought it would. Thanks for your prompt attention to my request. Gordon

My intake will be ready next year. I will be making the maf housing longer than the JLT piece, as I think that will help with signal quality at idle. Price is to be determined.

A g-tech type device measures hp, tq, and 1/4 mile times by use of an accelerometer and timer.

Thanks for your reply. I assume you had some difficulties with your development of your CAI. I also assume the $200-$250 price point you talked about is no longer valid. How about the performance numbers you talked about? What can I expect if I wait for your CAI after using your tune?
