Hey Justin.....Derek here. I was looking at the Maf's on your site. With my setup of the 4.3 stroker @ approx 300bhp and ram air. What would be a resonable size Maf. I was figuring around 73mm with that amount of hp. However, could a 80mm be adequate as well. Or, will that be too much? Remember, I will run nitrous to the engine. Thanks.

if you have a v6 and its just stroked with ram air...news flash...you do not have 300 if your motor is just stroked.

Lol Chris. I have much more than 262 ci stroked. If you name it. It is on the engine. Many one-off parts on internals and too much to list on the external side of engine. The vehicle will be dyno'd at Justins soon. I am working on the trans and suspension currently. I wouldn't say 300bhp, if I didnt mean it. Why would I want a maf too large for my application? Lol. Thanks for the input but, I'm your typical hormone raging teenager wanting a fast v6.:p
Thanks Justin.

i have a V6 as well that will be getting a turbo installed after summer. from TMA. But from what you said...which seemed like you just had a 4.3L v6..the engine alone would not see 300bhp. it would take a few other mods to reach that level other then simple bolt ons.

Yes Chris very true. You really have no idea how many mods it takes. I have made it my goal to achieve over 300hp nat. before I go with nitrous or turbo. I should be right close if not dead on. But, really...almost everything you can list has been done to the car. From front to rear. It has been my six month project. It will be done here in the next few weeks. I am working on the trans and suspension right now. I am dead certain to achieve 300 with a lil' tuning from the SCT software.;)

yea actually i know exactly what it takes with out stroking it, but stroking is a good idea. finish your bolt ons then throw on some p/p heads and a cam. or a Stage 3 power pak from SSMS would get you at 300hp:cool:

Yeah, exactly where I started. Somewhat. I had a custom billet cam built. Forged internals, including a girdle, arps throughout. Then went to the heads. I did a complete custom job to heads: including valves, springs, retainers, rockers, pushrods. All the parts are pretty much custom. From there the rest of the engine was worked on just as much. All the way down to coil pack, Ram air, cpu. Now im at the converter and suspension.
