We have had to discontinue our trade-in program due to a change in SCT policy, we now offer a hardware buyback program and store credit:

Everyone is eagerly awaiting the release of SCT's new flash device, the Livewire.
VMP Tuning will be offering a Livewire Upgrade program, for those customers with older tuning devices that would like to switch to the SCT Livewire.
All devices must be in good condition (not ran over by a truck), if you are unsure of the condition of your hardware email us.
SCT is scheduled to release the Livewire device 07 Q1, sometime between January and March. When the device is released you will be able to order on our website VMP Tuning Inc (http://www.VMPTuning.com). If you wish to be placed on a list to be notified of availability and put on our pre-order list send an email to Justin@VMPTuning.com.
The Livewire comes pre-loaded from SCT with tunes for common vehicles. If you have .ZCF or .MTF files from your dealer we can load them onto the Livewire for you. If you have existing LL3 files from VMP or another SCT dealer you can be loaded onto the device yourself (assuming they are not locked to a specific serial # X-Cal2). If you are a previous VMP customer and do not require any tune changes you may purchase the $569 Livewire and we will load your files onto the Livewire for you. If you can not get the files on your X-Cal2 from your original dealer, have them contact us, as we offer a trade in program for other SCT dealers.
The upgrade program does not include any custom tuning, the Livewire comes pre-loaded from SCT with tunes for common vehicles. You may purchase custom tunes from VMP at $50 each here: VMP Tuning Inc: VMP Custom SCT Tune File (http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index.php?p=product&id=165&parent=0)

Features:
The SCT Livewire will be the most feature-rich flash device on the market. It will hold up to 3 custom tunes + the stock tune + tunes that come pre-loaded from SCT.
-Built-in shift light.
-Built-in 1/4mi and HP measurement (G-Tech type device)
-Datalogging of Boost and Air/Fuel with appropriate sensors.
-Reads and clears OBD2 codes.
-Datalogs OBD2 parameters and analog signals, internally or on a laptop (connect X2 to laptop with standard USB cable).
If you are unsure of the status of your device (stock or custom tuned installed) you may check it with a program from SCT. Go to SCT Flash Devices - MORE Power . . . Period! (http://sctflash.com/downloads.php) then download the Live Link 3 program. This program will tell you the status of your X-cal2. If you have a newer firmware X-cal2 you can scroll down to the bottom and go to Device Info. To check the status of an X-cal1 you will need to use Extreme Tune from SCT and connect the X1 to your PC with the special serial cable, if you do not have this cable we can check it for you. On the Diablo predator you can view the last tune written, it should say stock image.
For more information on the Livewire visit Livewire Pre-Loaded / Custom Flash Device (http://www.SCTLivewire.com)
SCT Dealers email us about our dealer trade in programs.
All Livewire's from VMP come with a 1 year hardware warranty and 6 months of tune support with VMP's custom tunes.
The Livewire will work with the SCT Pro-Racer software version 3.0.
VMP will offer an Innovate LC-1 wideband with the Livewire for an additional $175, including the Livewire analog input cable.

Ive heard theres been some problems with the livewires. Some have been saying problems with the connections to the vehicles are sporadic, have hard time accepting new tune updates and sometimes even not supporting the e-mailing ability to where that if you wanted the tuned youd need to send it back to the people you bought it from to get the tuned downloaded into them.

just wondering if youve heard or noticed any of these problems with the ones you have dealt with so far? cuz i was really looking forward to getting that one later down the road till i started hearing all the problems they were having..

There are some issues, none of them are harmful or un-fixable. If you buy one in the next week or two I'm sure all the issues will be sorted out by then.

If anyone wants a certain package or combo they are welcome to request it and I can put it together.
