Hello Justin,

Just to let you know that I have a problem with early morning and late afternoon starts. Once iginition key is turned to start engine, engine would start then stall this morning. I have to step on the gas to prevent it from stalling. Thinking it might be just a fluke I just didn't mind it. Then this afternoon while preparing to get back home from work it did the same thing again but this time, the engine started and almost stalled, sputtering to idle speeds below normal.
I hope you could help me on this. Tried to call you today but I figured it was probably late in the day.

Thanks,

Michael

it could be just cold outside and the cold doing it to your engine, my car has the same thing when its cold outside. if not your MAF sensor might be reading the air flow wrong causing it to stall but it wouldnt only do that when starting, it'd be at all stops when the car comes to idle such as a red light.

Hello itschristorres8,

That would would have been fine except that the vehicle was parked in a garage so the cold would not be a factor. Then also the afternoon would not be "cold" factor having a 75 degree Fahrenheit day for South, FL, However I appreciate your response in trying to help me out.

Thanks,

Mike

I live in South FL as well.
Anyways does the car only act up like that at a start? or if your at a light will it do the same and try to stall out?

Well it had before like it would almost stall out with idle RPM in the low 500's but that was on very rare occasions and always in the morning not at stoplights. It's only now that it has happened twice on the the same day. I will see if I will have the same result tomorrow morning. Hopefully these are just one of it's rare "gremlin' occasions.

Might be...I dont think its the sensor then. Sometimes mine does the same

Started the truck this morning and no symptoms of stalling or low RPM's probably just a gremlin :)
