Ford Wiring Diagrams and Pinouts

These are pinouts and wiring diagrams for various parts of Ford vehicles. The first part of the file name is the year, the 2nd part is the engine (if applicable), the 3rd part is the module or connector, the the 4th part of the filename designates whether it is a wiring diagram or connector pinout. The pinouts are easier to read but the diagram will often show how the circuit works.

For example, if the filename is "01 fog sw pin.jpg" then its a connector pinout for the fog light switch on an 01 Mustang V6, 2V, or 4V.

Many modules and connectors will be the same between V6, 2V, and 4V of the same year (not engine specific), while others like the computer pinouts are engine specfic (a * may designate a wiring difference between 2V and 4V). Certain groups of years will use the same pinout but possibly different wire colors. For example, 94-95, 96-97, 98, 99-00, 01-03, and 04 V6 Mustangs are the same within their respective year ranges.

We did not create these diagrams and we can not guarantee them to be correct, before hooking up anything you should test the wire with a multi-meter to make sure it is the correct circuit.

At various points in time the Helm CDs have been available for download on the net, so I have snatched them up and burned them onto CDs, I have them for 95,96,97,98,99,00,01 mustangs and a few trucks. A lot of the CDs cover all ford cars though, not just mustangs.

Hey Justin,

I purchased a Lightning IAT and wiring pigtail from you. I am using it in an 05 Mustang GT with a Vortech. I know what the IAT signal and return wires in the car are. What I need to know is the pigtail you sent me has 2 black wires(they are numbered 1 & 2 on the plug), does it matter which side is signal and return on the sender. If it does make a difference please let me know how to wire it.

The two iat wires are not + or -, they can be hooked up either way.
