So I knew I'd be running rich since I installed the 42# Injectors .. you know cuz you see the black smoke out the tail end.
Justin kept telling me that the right front O2 sensor was bad looking at the datalog I sent him.
I swapped front O2 sensors, but had the same result. So I know the problem is on the Passenger side. I'll look for pinched wires (that side is REAL tight with the 5.4L swap)
I purchased the Pro Software (after FINALLY getting my tax returns).
Just changed the oil for the first time .. it was very very strong with fuel smell. I know that there will be some in there since the car had been sitting and I started the car often over the winter but probably didn't let it warm up enough.
I'm hoping a ring isn't messed up, but that'd be easy enough since I have plenty replacements laying around. But I need to check for a leaky fuel injector. So that's my question - anyone know how to check that? A fuel pressure check was said to be the check to use, but I have an electronic gauge installed and without the car running, pressure stays at a steady 40 PSI -- set that with the pro software tweak (it's 35-38 without the tune).
I remember seeing somewhere an Injector Pulsewidth reading .. I'll try doing that this week for each injector to see if that will show me one that is running different than the other.
Anything else you knowledgeable guys can tell me to check? It's my first Fuel Injector vehicle (all my Camaro's were Carb'd - except the TPI setup I had, but I'm still rebuilding that one)
