Bill is my original and first GT500 customer. He first brought his car to me back in September of 2006 on the recomendation of a mutual friend. I've had his car on my dyno several times to test different combinations.

This post will detail the testing and tuning that we did in September of 2006. At that point in time very few aftermarket parts were available for the car, and very little was being done to them. There were no aftermarket intakes available.

We made 3 stock runs to establish a baseline. These numbers are on the lower end of the spectrum for a stock GT500, and to be expected for such a warm day.

With some tuning we were able to achieve 482RWHP, a gain of 58RWHP over stock.

After tuning I removed the stock airbox and attached a MAF housing and air filter that I had made earlier in the day with some 4.5" OD aluminum tubing.

This graph shows the gains from the intake I made, both in power and in boost.

We disconnected the exhaust after the X pipe, it was only worth a few HP. This tells me mufflers won't be worth much on this car.

As always, you can't get hung up on peak #s, more careful attention should be payed to the before and after gains. Had this been a colder day we would have seen much higher overall #s, both stock and with the mods.

Unfortuneately, Bill recently had to sell the car.
