Josh has an 04 Colorado Inline 5 cylinder truck with the auto trans. We previously saw great gains on Jimmy's manual truck with 93 oct and an intake, so we decided to try tuning an auto truck on 87 oct.
We saw a peak gain of 5RWHP and 7RWTQ, thats not huge, but its still very good for 87 octane. The real gains are below 3000rpm, where most people drive every day. We saw 19RWTQ and 10RWHP under the curve.
The trucks stay closed loop for the first 5-8 seconds and then goes open loop and runs very rich. There is a lot of power to be gained by running it 12.5-13.0 across the board.
We use HP Tuners to tune Colorados, you can bring your vehicle to us and have the PCM reflashed in person or send it in for reflashing, contact us for pricing.
