While I was in south florida with my mobile dyno for the VMP/MMP dyno day I tuned Hector's 08 GT500. He previously had a mail order tune from me. I was able to find some more power.
This car ONLY has a 2.6" upper, intake, and full exhaust from the stock manifolds back. You can tell the very restrictive factory cats have been removed because the boost is about 1/2-3/4lb lower than normal. The sun had gone down, and we had some killer conditions, easily 60* out with high barometric pressure and decent humidity.
I can't believe the car made a totally legit SAE corrected 570rwhp. It goes to show what good weather can do for a GT500, and I also think there was 10rwhp that came from the exhaust mods, mostly removing the cats.
