99-04 3.8L Mustang Upper to Lower Intake Gasket RE-USEABLE
PN: ULGASK

I'm concidering using this reusable gasket when I install my upper intake that will have the m112. I will be torquing the intake bolts about 5-15 lb more than spec. Is there a concern of this gasket crushing due to the added bolt torque and the weight of the m112? I haven't looked up the factory torque specs for the upper to lower intake bolts, but I know it's not very much. How much pressure can this gasket handle?

I don't think it will be a problem.

I just placed my order for the reusable gasket. Unfortunately I probably won't receive it for a while because I placed the order by mail. I want to keep working on my intake which involves cutting and grinding with the port size and placement that I transfered from a Ford paper gasket.

Question:

Is the reusable gasket simular enough (port size and placement) to the paper gasket so I can keep cutting away or should I wait till I receive it?

It is similar in size to the paper one, but thats not the right way to port hte upper intake IMO.

You do realize I am not porting the stock upper. And I will be grinding 1"-2" of the lower's top splitports pairs to one port. The removable gasket will be modified the same way.
