Default Initial results from Ford Racing TVS Blower Upgrade...

The blower came in from Ford Racing last Monday, but I was busy with the PRI show so I did not have a lot of time to post.

Part of the sponsorship deal from FRPP required the install of blue valve covers and polished coil covers, here the car is all ready for the new blower:

I'll be doing a full writeup of the differences in the TVS vs stock blower.

I installed the TVS a long with the Ford Racing Intake and stock 3.0" pulley. I began running it with my tune. The car will make 580-590RWHP on a mediocore day with very little heat soak. This is 40-50rwhp over the stock blower with 2.6 pulley (+3psi), intake, and tune. This is a great gain for only having 1/2lb more boost, and shows how efficient the TVS is. I'm planning to put a 17psi pulley on it as soon as I can get over to the machinist. I also have a larger TB that I'll be testing on it, I expect a 10rwhp gain with the stock pulley and possibly 20rwhp gain with the smaller pulley. The car has totally stock exhaust.

Pulled 601rwhp yesterday when we got our first good cold front in a month:

Prototype 2.6" pulley will be in from my machinist tomorrow.

It is not on my website yet but I am carrying this blower kit for $4999 and then you can add on my tune and my pullies for more power.

Well I am back from vacation. My machinist sent me a protoype 2.6" pulley that fits the TVS blower with proper clearances (2.6 or 2.8 only have 10thou clearance and wrong offset). I installed it on christmas eve, but I have not had time to throw it on the dyno and tune it yet.

Here are the results from the VMP "stock look" 2.6" prototype upper pulley only.

Conditions today were pretty poor, temp was nearly 80F, slightly warmer in the shop and baro was only 30.2 (30.4-30.6 is good for around here). The car had made 601rwhp with the stock pulley on a cold night, if I can get those same conditions again it will put down 630-640 with the 2.6.

Boost is up by 2.5-2.75lbs. RWHP is up by nearly 30-35 at various points in the curve, and RWTQ is up by roughly 35-40 throughout the curve.

BTW, I finally ran the car with the FRPP tune, and it made 553RWHP/543RWTQ with a very rich A/F (Ford has got to keep the cats alive).
