Bill Sr's 08 Roush Mustang GT M5 with VMP 500HP Package
Bill brought his car over for an intake, upper pulley and dynotune, the final results are below. Stock the car put down some really killer numbers, higher than most, so the gains were not as impressive, but the final result is right where it should have been for a roush blown car with these mods.
The stock roush tune is very usually very agressive, and that held true on this car too, it had 7.5* of knock retard at various points in the rpm range. You can even see at 3000rpm where the knock sensor was pulling a ton of timing and power dropped off. I just got my Roush about a month ago and though I wanted to retain the factory warranty for a bit longer just to make sure everything was solid with the car, I can't help the anxious feeling of getting this package.
500HP would be perfect and the end of the modding road for me.  My question is, how aggressive is this tune and will the life of my motor and supercharge be decreased? How hard is this 500HP package on the overall drivetrain and do I need any supporting mods (like fuel)...? Thanks for the info!! I am really interested in this package!! If the owner is still around, how do you like the setup 7 months later? Any issues? Thanks!!
